How it shows;
Just doing it; these are for profits so they don't have to be good employers, they chose to be.
Characteristics;
Good process; the employees like the experience of working for these companies.
Caveat; within holistic political economy this is one of the low bars. If these companies can do it all companies can, the reason that they don't is because we do have not designed corporate governance in such a way that peer group pressure will to force this to be seen as a minimum standard. When we claim employees can leave if they don't like it we ignore the distressed purchase aspect of many job applications and the massive power imbalance between the individual and the company.
